Islands

The Croatian coast, together with its islands, is one of the most rugged coastlines in the world. Out of 1244 islands, islets, cliffs and reefs that remained after the dramatic rise of the sea level of the Adriatic Sea around 13000 years BC, only 67 are inhabited today. The largest islands in Croatia are, in order: Cres, Krk, Brac, Hvar, Pag, Korcula, Dugi otok, Mljet, Vis and Rab. Each of the many islands has its own impressive history and has wonderful sights, coasts and beaches, which every year delight numerous travelers from all over the world. It is now time to come aboard and explore the Croatian coast from a truly dazzling perspective.
